Every donation gets us one step closer to the repair of another driveway, bridge, or culvert. Lansing’s Bridge to Recovery is a grassroots nonprofit organization that was created in response to the devastation that occurred on September 27, 2024 in North Carolina. Our organization is dedicated to repairing private access which were not supported by state and federal organizations with funding or repair services. Your donation will directly fund these efforts.
#GivingTuesday
As GivingTuesday approaches, we’re inviting you to help us continue rebuilding hope and restoring access for families across Lansing and the greater Ashe County community.
More than a year after Hurricane Helene, over 270 private bridges remain unrepaired in Ashe County. These families still face daily challenges simply getting to work, school, medical appointments, or even their own front doors.
Thanks to generous supporters like you, LBTR has already completed over 60 projects in 2025 (bridge builds, culvert installations and private road repairs) — real families who now have safe access again. But as we enter the new year, the need before us is even greater.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 this Giving Tuesday, so we can continue tackling as many of these 270 outstanding projects as possible in 2026.
Your Giving Tuesday Impact
We’re asking supporters to consider a gift of:
$27 — Every gift matters.
A $27 donation helps cover smaller but essential needs like hardware, drainage supplies, and safety materials that keep our volunteers equipped and projects moving forward. When many people give $27, it adds up quickly — and directly fuels more completed projects.
$270 — Help fund critical repair materials.
A $270 gift can provide lumber, culvert components, gravel, or other core materials needed to safely rebuild private bridges and roadways. This level makes an immediate and tangible impact on the next project in line.
$2,700 — Significantly support the restoration of a family’s access.
A $2,700 donation helps cover major portions of a single-family access rebuild, from groundwork to labor support. This level of giving can be life-changing for a household that has been stranded for more than a year.
